With 2025 well underway, we’re gearing up for another year of live music and great events. Our team has been working hard to plan our 2025 calendar of events, and we’re excited to announce that the dates are confirmed, the live music is all booked, and our What’s On Page for 2025 is complete. But let us tell you a little more about what we have planned.
Live Music
Our Friday nights of live music are returning – and whilst we may be a little biased, we think it’s a great way to kick-start your weekend.
We will have live music EVERY Friday throughout the spring and summer months. Starting on Friday 18 April (which just so happens to be our Spring Beer Festival), the fantastic Slide will be joining us from 8pm for an evening of non stop pop/rock’n roll.
We’ve got some familiar faces returning and new bands playing for the first time at the Briarbank. Whether you enjoy listening to rock, pop, indie, 50s, 80s and more – we’ve got it covered. So, why not head across to our What’s On Page, and start planning your Friday nights at the Briarbank?
Don’t forget, alongside our Friday Nights of live music, our monthly jazz afternoons will continue. Now in its twelfth year, join us on the third Sunday of every month for a chilled afternoon of live jazz. John Parker has once again treated us to some fantastic jazz musicians already this year, and we can’t wait to see who else will be joining us in 2025.
Festivals
We couldn’t have a calendar of events without including our popular festivals, and we’re excited to announce we will have three this year.
- Spring Beer Festival – Wednesday 16 April – Monday 21 April 2025
- Gin and Rum Festival – Wednesday 21 May – Monday 26 May 2025
- Summer Beer Festival – Wednesday 20 August – Monday 25 August 2025
They will follow the same format as previous years, with FREE entry and live music across the weekend.
Our Beer Festivals will see over 40 beers and ciders available from local and not so local breweries, whilst our Gin and Rum Festival will see a range of over 40 gins and rums. All festivals will take place in our outside marquee, with our first floor tap room open and serving our usual range of drinks. So, why not note the dates, tell your friends and come and join us for our 2025 festivals? To find out more, including who will be performing head to our What’s On Page.
We’re turning 12
We can’t quite believe we’ll be turning 12 this year, and we’d love for you to come and celebrate with us. Over the early May bank holiday weekend, we will be hosting our 12th birthday party. Our official birthday will be Saturday 3 May, but we’re going to celebrate all weekend.
We’re currently in the process of putting together all the final details, but what we can tell you is, that we’ll be kicking off our celebrations on Thursday 1 May with our monthly quiz – dedicating a round to all things Briarbank. So, get brushing up on all your Briarbank knowledge. Our website is a great place to start.
Our head brewer, Rob, will be digging out some old recipes and brewing some of our older beers, ready for our celebrations. Plus, we will have live music and, of course, be decorating the bar and marquee with decorations fit for any birthday celebration. Joining us will be:
- Friday 2 May: 8pm – Jax & Co
- Saturday 3 May: 8pm – The Dead Legs
- Sunday 4 May: 8pm – Electric Velvet Club
Save the date, and come and join us – there may even be cake!
And that’s not all…
We will also be continuing with our monthly quiz nights, taking place the first Thursday of every month – it’s the perfect opportunity to assemble your best quiz team and come and test your knowledge.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Briarbank in 2025!
