Our new seasonal beer is now available
We love nothing more than hearing our microbrewery in action and taking in all the wonderful aromas of the hops and other ingredients that go into making our Suffolk-brewed beers. Our microbrewery has been a hive of activity making our latest seasonal brew — let us tell you a little more about it.
If you’ve not yet guessed, based on the time of year, we can confirm that our next seasonal brew is Grand Slam. We’ve been brewing Grand Slam (previously known as Grand Slammer) for around ten years, and after a short break last year, we’re really excited to have this popular beer back on the bar.
It’s brewed exclusively for our first floor tap room, so you won’t find it anywhere else in Suffolk. Coming in at 3.8% ABV, this golden ale is easy drinking and lightly hopped to balance a nice malt body. It’s now available from our tap room – perfect timing for the start of the Six Nations tournament.
Just like with our other beers, Grand Slam underwent a branding refresh two years ago, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Local illustrator Kieran Page created our fabulous pump clip, giving it a fresh new feel, which complements the rest of our range perfectly. Below shows how the branding has also changed over the years – the latest pump clip on the left.
And did we mention we’ll be showing all the action live on our screens from the Six Nations? Why not come and watch all the action unfold and find out if Ireland can retain the title? Plus, visit us on Six Nation match days and you’ll be able to enjoy a pint of Grand Slam for just £4.00.
We’ll see you there!
