Trial Brew #9 – Single Hop Chinook 4.3%

Our 9th Trial brew is here!

Beer background!

This beer is complete simplicity. It is a light golden beer hopped with a UK grown Chinook. It’s one of my new favourite hops, and I wanted to create a beer that let the hops show off!

A single hop beer as the name suggests uses just one variety of hop for bittering and flavour, and Chinook has a soft spicyness that I personally love.

A break down of how I’ve brewed this beer!

I used a very simple malt bill, mostly Extra Pale Malt, and a little crystal for body.

The UK grown Chinook is a little more spicy than its US cousin, but gives a great flavour. Perfect for sipping in the sun!

A US yeast is used to bring out the hop flavour more.

There isn’t too much to say about this beer, you ned to just come and try it for yourself!
